Interior design for a new kitchen always takes A LOT of planning. We were limited in space, so this homeowner wanted a contemporary kitchen with lots of hidden storage. They entertain and wanted a wow factor when guests came to visit. Custom cabinets are enhanced by contemporary patterned granite. The latest appliances make life a bit easier for this couple as they prepare for their many gatherings. Accent lighting offers an additional design element to enhance the details of the design.

Design Tips:

1. Changing the kitchen layout isn’t always the answer. In this kitchen we kept the original layout so all plumbing and electrical didn’t have to be modified.
2. Assess what needs you’re hoping to achieve. In this case the client needed a lot of hidden storage and also lighted display for her artwork.
3. Less really is more. We kept this design sleak and clean by not adding decorative hardware or a busy backsplash. The use of a neutral color palette assist in the enhancement of the clients beloved artwork and collectables.
4. LIGHTING is the most important part of a kitchen. A lot of work is happening in this space so efficient lighting is a must.
